Growing up, while all my friends did sports, I always had my nose in a book or a pencil in my hand. I didn’t choose to be a writer; the writing life chose me. Perhaps my Cerebral Palsy played a role in why I’m a writer. I’m clumsy on my feet and I have a wheelchair. I often use my experiences to help create my characters as many of them have their own disabilities. While my main focus is novels, I also write articles, poems, lyrics, and short stories. I have never written a movie script, though. Maybe it will be my next challenge?! When I’m not writing, I enjoy graphic design, being outdoors, video games, spending time with loved ones and laughing until my stomach hurts.
I created this blog to help build my author platform as I pursue a career as a published author. It’s about all things writing and the occasional blog post on life as an adult living with a disability. Though, I don’t consider it a disability, more of a capability…Capable of greatness despite the obstacles. Maybe, just maybe, my writing will help or inspire someone else with a dis—er, I mean capability!
