Life, Love, and Inspiration!
Man, time has flown by!
We never know what the future holds for us. We can plan for the future, but life happens when we’re busy making other plans. I spent a year making plans with someone then life threw a curveball. One day, I was standing at the edge contemplating the vast blue sea. With one swift motion, I was surrounded by the ocean. I was riding the waves, flying high, laughing uncontrollably, and living life. Then I was taken under. I was too far out; I was in too deep.
Breakups are hard; however, with new lost loves and new experiences, comes new writing material. 2018 has been one inspiring year! I don’t want to say too much and jinx myself, but I’m working on a new writing project I hope to have done come spring. I have a lot of emotions and a lot of things I need to get out, so it’s a rather personal project. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a private person, but I will strive to step out of my comfort zone. I’d like to post bits and pieces of it over time here on my blog and Twitter.
“Don’t listen to the words I say. It’s the words I don’t say. It’s the words I fail to verbally say. The answers you seek—my truths and desires—lie in the words I write. It’s why I write.” – A.W.
I don’t know why things happen the way they do, but I’m grateful for all the ups and downs this year. I’m grateful for the experience and I’m grateful for him. He’s my muse. I’ve struggled with writing these last couple of years and I feel like I found my voice again. He helped me rediscover my love for writing and now I feel like I have a reason to write again. Love and breakups can be powerful motivators. (The Tri-Cities are boring anyway, bleh.) Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the guy and I ended on good terms. We’re still good friends. You can see a glimpse of our friendship in the snap.
I want to give a shout-out to everyone doing NaNoWriMo! It’s the final stretch of the race. No matter your current word count, I know you can make it to the finish line! You got this! To those of you already done, congratulations! I hope to read your stories in the future. Feel free to send me the title and your name, so I know what books to keep an eye out for later!
Also, I want to thank everyone who reached out to me about my cat, Lucky. I appreciate all the kind words and I enjoyed hearing your own stories. I apologize for not responding; I’m terrible at replying to messages, but I’m working on it!
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go get some dinner and enjoy a quiet night catching up on some reading. I’m currently reading Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks. Great read!
I wish you all well and I’ll see you soon. (I promise I’ll be more active on here.)
I’m thrilled to be writing again!
