It’s about that time of year again! National Novel Writing Month starts at midnight. Writers from around the world will attempt the daunting task of writing a 50,000-word novel in just one month.
I’ve never participated in this event…until now. This will be my first year, and I must admit I’m a little scared. My first novel took over five years to write and here I am now attempting to write the rest—I have two short chapters written—of my novel in one month! I never thought I’d have it in me to write an entire book in such a short amount of time, but I want to challenge myself. I will strive to write 2,000 words each day for the entire month. I’ll probably make an exception for special occasions such as Thanksgiving and birthdays.
I’m still figuring out the NaNoWriMo site, but here’s the link to my profile with my book info and where I’ll update my daily word count.
I want to wish everyone who is participating in NaNoWriMo good luck! We can do this!
November 1st is National Authors’ day, so happy National Authors’ day to all of you amazing and talented authors!
Oh, and Happy Halloween! Watch out for ’em monsters and ghosts 🙂
See you in December!
